The National Emergency Operations Committee (COE) through its resolution of June 10th, 2021, informed the new requirements that will apply to travelers who wish to enter the Galapagos Islands as of July 1, 2021. The Emergency Committee of Ecuador has already given the instructions to apply these new measures in Galapagos as of July 1. As of that date, all travelers entering the Galapagos Islands must do so with one of the following requirements:
If you need to perform your PCR test while you are in Ecuador, you can review the authorized laboratories to share with your clients at this link.
Travelers arriving from Brazil, require a negative RT-PCR or antigen test result, with a maximum validity of 72 hours prior to their arrival to Ecuador. In addition, they must comply with a ten (10) day isolation period either at a residence, or at their choice of accommodation, covering their own expenses. The isolation period will not apply to those arriving from Brazil but presenting a Covid-19 vaccination certificate, with the same requirements mentioned in the above guidelines.
Bear in mind that the Traffic Control Card is still being requested from passengers to enter the islands, in the same way that it was always done. The safe conduct requested by your operator to the Ministry of Tourism will no longer be necessary to enter Galapagos.
